The Apollo 11 journey to the moon needed the help of two spacecraft. Discover why as you build!
You can build your very own model replica of the Metal Earth 3D Model Apollo Command Service Module with Lunar Module that landed on the moon in 1969.
Once in lunar orbit, the Command Service Module would separate and wait in orbit so the Lunar Module could land. After a successful launch from the lunar surface, the ascent stage would dock with the waiting CSM, then the astronauts would transfer back into the main spacecraft to head home. It sounds nearly impossible but that’s the way it was July 20, 1969.
It is a perfect collector addition or an ideal moon & space-themed gift. Assemble the ultra-thin metal pieces using the slot and tab design, no glue is required!
You may need some tweezers to assist with intricate parts, and some patience as you take on the detailed task with accuracy!
