Ichthyosaurus Excavation kit Description

Did you know the name Ichthyosaurus literally means "lizard fish"!

The first skeleton was found by a 12-year-old girl, Mary Anning, in southern England in 1811.

The Ichthyosaurus Excavation kit allows you to excavate an Ichthyosaurus skeleton using the paleo tools provided, assemble the skeleton and display it on the stand included.

The assembled skeleton is approx. 31cm from head to tail.

What's Included:

  • A Fossil plaster block with a 16 piece museum-quality replica skeleton of an Ichthyosaurus
  • All the palaeontologist’s tools you need: a hammer, chisel & brush
  • A Skeleton Display Stand
  • A Description of the Ichthyosaurus' Features and Speculations about its History
