Build one of Leonardo Da Vinci's most iconic flying designs, the Aerial Screw with this Leonardo Da Vinci Helicopter Wooden Kit!
Despite Da Vinci's designs for human-powered flight never becoming a reality, they still defined him as an inventor far ahead of his time.
While it’s often called a helicopter, the lift in Da Vinci's design works more like a aerial screw than the rotors of a helicopter.
The Leonardo Da Vinci Helicopter is made from natural, untreated wood. It uses a bevel gear he drew in his codices and increases the speed of the crankshaft. This is evident with the rotating mast.
This is a great kit for all model makers and history lovers!
It brings Da Vinci's iconic drawing to life and is a great way to learn about gears and flight.

Recommended for ages 9 and up.
This model takes between 1 and 3 hours to make (be sure and let the glue dry as you go), and the end result will be worth the wait.
